Stela Laxhuber GmbH is the leading industrial company in the sphere of building of drying plants. For 90 years of company’s history, it has supplied and set in operation over 4,000 drying plants STELA in 60 countries of the world.
Dryers are used to dry a wide variety of products: wheat, rye, barley, rice, corn, as well as crops with high oil content, such as rapeseed, sunflower seeds or cocoa beans. Depending on the customer’s needs and business development plans, the company can offer mobile portion dryers of the MUF series, mobile flow dryers such as Universal and stationary dryers AgroDry®. Economical use of coal and low dust emissions are becoming an increasingly important issue for our customers. That is why Stela has developed and patented a duct system with STELA Biturbo technology, which significantly reduces the required amount of hot air and specific energy consumption compared to conventional dryers without active heat recovery. For example, when drying one ton of wet corn with a humidity reduction of 35% to 15%, which is approximately 17.1 m³ of natural gas (calorific value 10.35 kWh / m³N), the energy consumption will be 216.7 kW.
“This year, Stela is installing the first shaft dryers in Ukraine with the Biturbo system. These are the most innovative dryers on the market. They have two burners at different levels, which allows you to set different drying temperatures in the upper and lower zone of the dryer. Also, due to complete heat recovery, these dryers are about 30% more economical than conventional shaft dryers with heat recovery, provide better drying uniformity due to the change of air flow direction and have lower dust emissions. And, of course, they are fully automated”, – says Andrii Yanush, commercial representative of Stela Laxhuber GmbH in Ukraine.
