As a part of realization of Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, Ukrainian government has initiated comprehensive decentralization of state management. The basis for it lies in creation of Amalgamated Territorial Communities (ATC) and assigning of state’s tasks to communities, for example, management of tax revenue and state agricultural lands. This must contribute to sustainable development of rural areas.
Agricultural enterprises are ones of the largest employers in ATC. In the majority of ATC agriculture contributes largely in volumes of production and tax revenue. Hence, agriculture must be in focus of ATC’s local policies, though current situation often differs. Challenges and prospects of rural development at the level of ATC will be discussed at the informational event.
In this context the probable contribution of German agricultural industry in the development of rural territories in Ukraine has a great importance. In view of it Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) organizes German National Pavilion at InterAGRO 2020.

All the state anti-epidemic rules put in place due to COVID-19 will be strictly followed during the event. Maximum number of exhibitors depends on the level of epidemic danger in Kyiv, and now amounts to 20 people. Usual reception event is impossible to hold this year.
